It seems like I keep teaching the children to be wise with their money and to be generous. Going along with this concept, I shared about the Christmas jars tradition tonight. This is something we have never done but I want to in the coming year. I explained to the older two that we could start saving money in a jar and then give it away next year. I told them we would pray about it and see what God led us to do with the money. I was listing some of the possibilities...buy food for a family, buy toys or clothes for children, etc. My five year old said, "I know mom, we could buy a pocket knife for a kid." This made me smile because he is really into pocket knives. It will be neat to see how God leads us next year!!

how cute. I can just see Will saying that!!! They are so precious.
Love to you,

What a sweet idea - the jars, I mean! Ha!
The pocket knife I'm not so sure about.LOL! Although because he loves that so much I know him giving that would be from the heart.
Love the jar idea - very visible and tangible for little guys. I'll have you know I steal everything from you! The manger idea was actually from my own little brain. I happened to have a little shoe box and I'd saved a couple of egg cartons and toilet paper rolls for a "rainy" day. The boys loved it! But it immediately turned into a space ship - of course!
Wow, another blog to read!! Yay!! 4 boys??!!! Oh me oh my oh! You are a brave one! Good to "see" ya!
How sweet. I like the jar idea. I might have to try that. Hope you are well. Blessings :)
This is such a great idea! Pocket change adds up to big money pretty quick! We may have to start doing this at our house, too!
