The Blankie

We have had this red blanket in our family since my first child was born....8 years!!  It was handed down to each boy and my third one latched right onto it.  He has slept with it for every nap and each night.  He is three now and has decided he is done with the old red blanket and is ready for something new.  I think the huge holes were just getting too big!!  He folded the blanket up and put it the closet all by himself.  Now he is onto bigger boy things....His new blanket is "Batman, the Dark Knight."  Do you have a blanket story?

All three of my kids have had blankies. Ty still has two, I had bought more than one so I could wash and switch but he figured out we had two so now he uses both. He say's "my babies". He won't go to sleep without them. Sometimes I have to search the whole house looking to those darn blankets. So..here's to the old red blankie. RIP. lol!!

Can't top THAT blankie! Mine have stuffed animals that they love - Coop has a snowman that is just a few washings away from stuffing coming out of holes. And Drew has a 4 inch fish - try finding that thing each night!

Each baby had a blankie. The more the blankies became stained, tattered & torn the more they liked them?! Such a sweet story : )

What's really fun is when they have a thread on the blankie that they like to hold onto and you have to find it every night. craziness!

We don't have a blankie story but Kylan has a puppy and poor puppy has been every where with us and is still hanging on by a thread or 2! Love the blankie story because I had one when I was little and it actually ended up saving my life in a car accident!

Nathan has a light blue pony named "Neigh Neigh" that he takes to church, Mothers' Day Out and to bed for naps and bedtime. I bought an extra one so that I can wash it occasionally.

He fell a few days ago and got a bloody lip. He didn't cry for mommy, no he yelled "Neigh, Neigh" while the tears fell down his cheeks.
