Love Tidbits

I think many of you have seen the movie "Fireproof".  I think it is a great movie for any marriage!  One of my precious friends let me borrow the book "Love Dare".  Here are a few things that have been resonating with me from the book...
1)Show love whether the person deserves it or not.  You cannot manufacture unconditional love on your own.
2)Unrealistic expectations breed disappointment.  Remember your spouse is human and thoughtless at times.  Allow your spouse to be human and encourage him and not discourage.
3)Daily let go of unrealistic expectations.
4)Have you ever wondered why God gives you insight into your spouse's faults?  Is it for nagging. No, it's for kneeling.

These are just a few points from this really great book.  Hope you and your spouse have a Happy Valentine's Day.  Much love to you.  This is a pic of my great hubby.

Great post! My hubby & I are doing the Fireproof DvD lessons. It would be good to do w/ a sm. group for discussion. Wonderful, but hard, lessons for our marriage!

Unrealistic expectations is something that God spoke to me about several years ago - always good to have a reminder! Haven't seen that movie yet - hope to soon.

Loved this post! I also loved that movie.

I'm wanting to check out that book. And, now I know there is a DVD lesson I want that too!

Happy Valentine's Day!
